You can even find the information provided by HTC, stating that, “HTC sees Android as taking up more power when its in use than Windows Phone 8 does on their hardware.” According to this info the Android version of the One (M8) will offer 12 hours of usage time while in case of Widows Phone the operation time will be extended to 21 hours.
Taking into account the fact that battery life is one of the most important factors for phones in general, this might appear to be a huge reason for buying the Windows Phone version of one and the same smartphone. This is also proved by the research carried out by IDC which revealed that 56% of Android buyers, 49% of iPhone buyers and 53% of Windows Phone buyers do utmost attention to battery life when buying a new phone.
